Initial Consultation

In this 90-minute meeting, both the student and their parents will go on a “crash course” of the college application process. We will begin with a transcript audit to identify completed classes and those still needed, helping to plan high school courses to align with college goals. Students will start creating a priority list of colleges, and from there, we will explore recent changes to the college application process and examine a timeline to ensure we stay on track.

Families will be introduced to College Planner Pro and learn how to use this as a tool. We’ll review trends in college admissions, and families will be provided with documents to navigate the college application process independently if they so choose.

Many families use this meeting as a “jump-start” to the process, while others may continue working together for additional guidance. If you feel you could use more help with the process, you know where to find me.

Starting at $325 (Meeting is required prior to buying any packages). 48 hours notice is required for cancellations.

Personalized Plan

In the following meetings, Megan will provide the student with individualized guidance throughout their high school course selection and college application process. Megan will offer advice on future course scheduling to align with college aspirations. She will also help create a testing plan (SAT/ACT) tailored to the student’s needs and provide assistance with building a robust college search strategy.

Megan will guide students in curating the “perfect target list” of colleges, taking into account academic, social, and financial fit. She will also provide a detailed road map for college visits, including offering contacts at schools, preparing students with a list of essential questions to ask during tours, and equipping them with tips and tricks to make the most of their visits. For schools that offer interviews, Megan will help students prepare thoroughly, including mock interviews.

As part of the application process, Megan will provide comprehensive guidance on essay writing. She will review the “dos and don’ts” of the college essay, share examples of successful essays, and work with students to identify and develop their unique essay topic. Megan also offers editing and revision appointments to ensure the essay stands out.

In addition, Megan will assist with crafting a plan for extracurricular activities, honors, and summer opportunities to enhance the student’s profile. For students facing deferrals or waitlists, Megan will meet with them to create a strategic plan to strengthen their application and ensure they find their “perfect fit” college.
